Can't Come Back - Chapter 54
“Huh? Berlia, you plan on going?”
Cadelin asked with wide-open eyes. It was enough of a shock for her. Berlia was a duchess, a high-ranking member of the upper class. Also, most people who offered to do something so dangerous were just regular people.
“Yes. I also want to help.”
“What, what?”
Cadelin couldn’t hide her surprise, so she asked her. She didn’t understand what Berlia was saying.
“Well….”
Berlia didn’t want to say why. Cain was the apparent reason why Berlia wanted to go to the war. But if she was being honest, she had to say that she was dating Cain.
If I told Cadelin everything, would that be okay?
But Berlia didn’t think about it for long.
“…I need to tell you something, Cadelin.”
Berlia’s words, which had been cut off, started up again. Berlia spoke to Cadelin while looking right at her.
“What is it? Berlia, why do you look so serious?”
It seemed like she was hiding something important. Cadelin put in.
Cadelin seemed to think that Berlia had stopped going out because she had lost her husband. She didn’t seem to be able to believe that she was worried about Cain, who was going to the war. Berlia would think the same way if she were Cadelin.
In love with her dead husband’s brother. It would have been impossible to think of.
‘But I no longer want to lie to Cadelin.’
Even so, Berlia no longer wanted to lie to Cadelin. Since Claudia already knows everything. She didn’t want to feel bad about lying to Cadelin, her best friend. She also thought that Cadelin would get what she was saying.
“Cadelin, to tell you the truth…”
Berlia’s mouth made a slight movement. But, even though she was determined to tell the truth, her mouth didn’t open as quickly as she thought it would. She had worked hard to keep a secret, and it didn’t look easy for her to tell it.
Berlia let out a long sigh.
“Don’t push yourself, Berlia. It’s okay.”
Berlia’s hand was shaking, so Cadelin put her hand on top of it.
“I don’t know what it is, but if it’s a secret that’s hard to talk about, you don’t have to tell me while shaking like that.”
“Cadelin…”
“All I can say is that I’m glad you made me aware.”
Cadelin said, looking her in the eyes. Berlia could tell she was being honest.
‘I want to tell Cadelin the truth.’
Berlia was sure that she had made the right choice. Cadelin seemed to agree with her no matter what she said.
“No, I no longer want to keep anything from you, Cadelin,”
She gave a head shake.
Cadelin looked at her wide-eyed because she didn’t know what Berlia would say.
“I… well, I do love someone.”
And Berlia opened her mouth.
“Al, already? So, technically, it’s fine for you to marry that person, right? But that… the Duke hasn’t been dead for long, so let’s keep it a secret and just date for now.”
Cadelin felt terrible and started to talk too much. She hadn’t even thought of that. It hadn’t been long since Berlia’s husband died. Cadelin was surprised that she liked another guy so soon.
But Cadelin sided with Berlia. She also said that they should keep it a secret for now because she was afraid that Berlia would get in trouble if other nobles found out.
“I’m glad you were worried, Cadelin.”
‘If I told her that the man is Cain, she would be even more surprised than now…’
What would Cadelin do if she told him that the man she liked was Cain? Berlia thought of Cadelin being unable to say anything.
Berlia would tell Cadelin everything now that she had brought it up.
“Cain is the person I like. Duke Cain Hildayden.”
“…What?! What’d you say?!”
Cadelin was shocked and didn’t mean to raise her voice. She knew that Berlia had a crush on Cain in the past. Berlia first met Cadelin at a banquet when she asked for Cain’s name. This showed that she was interested in him in the first place.
“But…”
But didn’t Berlia get married to Dean not long after that happened? She says she likes Cain again now that Dean is dead. Cadelin had no idea what was happening.
“Um, liking the brother of your dead husband? Even if Duke Cain is handsome, he’s a womanizer, so no. There is a rumor that he has been seeing too many people…”
Cadelin stumbled as she tried to say what she was thinking.
“I had no other choice but to get married. Barony of Kinderton was about to fall apart. So, I couldn’t help but…”
Berlia told Cadelin everything about how she got married. Cadelin needed to figure out what to say after hearing everything about why Dean proposed to Berlia.
“… How could he think of taking the woman his brother loves? He was just too much.”
Who would have thought that Berlia and Cain had always liked each other and that Dean was the one who got in the way? My friend has been going through this for a long time. Cadelin never even thought about it.
“So, Duke Cain is why you want to join the war, right?”
Berlia slowly nodded in response to her question. Now, Cadelin understood everything.
‘She loves Duke Cain so much that she doesn’t think twice about going to the dangerous battlefield.’
And Cadelin understood she had made a mistake. Young Lady Berlia Kinderton’s picture from the first time she met her was gone. She thought Berlia was crazy because she was alone in the Hildayden house and couldn’t count on anyone, but she was wrong.
“Please, Cadelin, I wish you could tell Count Adrian I want it.”
Berlia’s face didn’t show any doubt.
“Okay. I’m going to talk to my husband.”
Cadelin nodded. Her friend was brave and strong, and she was willing to go to a war where she might lose her life for someone she loved.

“Duke, 19 men died today while they were taking over Lindenhar. As you told us, we didn’t lock up the general citizens and let them go about ordinary lives.”
“Well done. Today, everyone worked hard.”
“Yes!”
Cain went back to his headquarters after getting the news from his subordinate. Unlike Dean, he was put right at the front of the battle. His job was to take over new towns and cities and move ahead.
Cain was more likely to be in danger than anyone else because he was on the front lines, so he chose not to tell Berlia about his situation. He knew that she would worry a lot. After all, no news is good news.
“I already miss her.”
Cain sat on his homemade bed and thought about Berlia. He remembered everything about her: her beautiful hair, which made him fall in love with her at first sight, her emerald-green eyes, and how her cheeks went red when she looked at him.
He wanted this war to end quickly so he could return to her. Because of this, Cain moved faster than the troops of the Notium Empire ever had.
They took over another city today. Lindenhar was a place that Talisbon would have missed out on a lot if they had lost it. The Talisbon army tried hard to protect Lindenhar, but the Notium Empire ultimately won.
The invasion was successful, but many people had to die to make it happen. Also, there weren’t enough supplies to care for the wounded troops.
“And… to think that my brother died in such a way.”
After coming here, Cain also found out why Dean had died. Cain was shocked when he heard the whole story. Villagers killed Dean as he raped a woman prisoner. His brother was always the worst.
Cain was not like Dean in any way. It was true that they had robbed towns and cities near the border of the Talisbon kingdom, but they had yet to do as much damage to the average Talisbon citizen. Villagers who did nothing wrong are not to blame. It was impossible to imagine taking them as prisoners. Cain told his men not to hurt people who weren’t doing anything wrong.
Cain had already taken over this way more than seven towns and cities. If things keep going the way they are, he might be able to win the war sooner than anyone thought. Because he was so eager to return to Berlia, he overdid things and was tired again today. Cain got into bed and closed his eyes slowly.

“Ha, ha…!”
“Vera, Vera…!”
Berlia was sitting on Cain and moving her hips back and forth. Her big breasts were shaking. Cain pushed his waist up every time Berlia’s body went down. Strange pleasure slowly spread from his penis to the rest of his body. This feeling already took over his thoughts. Cain let out a moan of satisfaction that he didn’t even mean to do.
“Oh, ugh!”
Berlia was unusually dominant today. She was swallowing Cain’s member and spitting it out quickly, just like he had taught her. It was crazy to see his member go away and return from her.
At this rate, he wouldn’t last much longer. He pushed his hips into her body several times, as if getting to know her.
“Cain…! I’m about to cum…!”
Not long after, Berlia sank even more demanding on him while her voice shook.
“Ahng!”
“Haah…!”
Cain couldn’t handle it. He, too, had reached the end of his rope. He wanted to plant his seeds deep inside her, letting her heat and moisture wrap around his penis. Cain pushed his waist up in a big way.
“Heung!”
Berlia’s body jumped up. But soon, she fell quickly because of gravity. Her vagina ate up Cain’s penis.
