“I might want to look for some books before I go.”
Berlia had this sudden thought as she was getting the things she needed. Even if the treatment was easy, knowing a little about medicine could help.
“Studying a little bit about basic medicinal herbs will help, even if it’s not very deep.”
There might be books in the library that go with it. Berlia then went to the library.

Berlia suddenly remembered her time with Cain as she walked to the library. Before telling him how she felt about him, just talking about dinner together made her nervous and worried.

All the information helped care for troops on the battlefield.
“When will I even memorize all of these?”
She hadn’t realized how much there was. She was being greedy when she tried to remember everything. But even though she knew the truth, she wanted to read the whole book once she opened it.
If she could, it would be nice to have the book with her, but she wouldn’t have time to look through it one page at a time in an emergency.
“I’m going to have to go to the library daily,” she said.
She chose not to be lazy about studying and kept reading the book until the day before she left. And as she turned a few more pages, Berlia saw a chapter title that caught her attention.

Berlia’s shoulders, which had been tight, dropped in relaxation. She walked over slowly and sat down on the other side of Claudia.
“More than that, I heard you volunteered to go to the border.”
