I couldn’t understand what he meant, but in the end, I just patted his head.

I followed Perelman and Diel towards the carriage. The interior is quite extraordinary. Come to think of it, this is my first time going to the city.

‘Even shopping too!’

The Duchess once called a tailor to make me some dresses even though I don’t really like buying things for myself. I prefer experimental equipment to clothes.

“That dress……”

On our way, Perelman suddenly muttered, staring at my bright yellow dress.

I stared outside for a long time and realized there was a commotion. Diel who was sitting across from me spoke softly. “Looks like the guards caught some gypsies.”

“Gypsies?”

I didn’t know much about gypsies before I returned in the past. They just wandered around the city but most of them were magicians.

“They are unofficial magicians. They also do a lot of illegal experiments with magic.”

“Oh, I see.”

“But illegal magic tends to have side effects.”

I don’t know much about magic. I deal with mana, but I’m not interested in anything other than medicine.

“Seeing people being dragged away like that, they must have used a forbidden spell.”

“What will happen to them?”

“After the trial, they will be exiled somewhere. If they repeatedly use forbidden magic, they will face the death penalty.”

Death penalty?

Just hearing it makes me tremble.

I stared blankly at the dragged gypsies and took a deep breath.

Where have I seen that familiar silhouette?

She is that old woman!

She is an old woman who was with me in prison whose name I do not know.

‘So she’s a gypsy?’

Why am I suddenly speaking in a timid tone?

I could see a young man with black eyes in my blurred vision.

But I know very well that he is Erhan Casseus. But he was completely different from the Erhan I knew.

His big hand put the strawberry in my palm. He slowly grabbed my wrist and placed it near his lips then he took a bite of the strawberry. Subconsciously, my hand touched his moist lips.

“You always held my hand, don’t you remember?”

He smiled confidently as his other hand gently held mine.

“There’s no way I’d change, you naughty Lise.”

His lips gently touched my cold fingers. I could suddenly feel his front teeth and hot breath.

I was a little nervous when an unusual atmosphere enveloped us.

No matter how much I thought about what I should answer, I couldn’t think of anything. At that moment, my vision became even more blurry.

“……se, miss Lise!”

I opened my eyes.

“We have arrived.”

“Sorry?”

“Let’s meet with the lab specialist.”

Diel shook me, trying to wake me up. I must have unknowingly fallen asleep in the carriage.

I was a bit embarrassed and quickly got out of the carriage.

“I want to be tall and strong. To do that, Lise said I have to work out harder.” Erhan lifted his chin and said again confidently.

Up until now, Lise had always made Erhan run a few laps.

“I shouldn’t be the one to teach you because I have no experience in teaching.” He added, “You have to build up your physical strength and learn from more professional knights.”

When Erhan thought that, he shook his head. He prefers to spend time with Lise.

To be honest, he was satisfied with his daily routine with Lise: exercising, eating snacks, reading books, and sleeping together. There was no reason for him to spend time with anyone else.

It’s surprising that Perelman sent Diel to befriend Lise.

Joaquin shouted loudly to call someone he knew. A red-haired young man with fiery red eyes came over quickly.

“I’m Zikel Cayes, Master Erhan.”

“He may not be the best swordsman, but he is the best at teaching young trainees.” Joaquin smiled and stroked his beard. “But swordsmanship training is a bit harsh. We tend to be impolite. Are you okay with that?”

“Yes.” Erhan nodded confidently and continued, “I am much slower than the other nobles. So I just have to work harder.”

Both Joaquin and Zikel were surprised by the answer.

Whenever Joaquin carefully talked to the Duchess about Erhan’s training, the Duchess would worry about her weak child coping with the harsh training.

Hence, they concluded that there was no need to get involved in the Duke family as it was their top priority that Young Master be healthy and alive.

Joaquin only saw Erhan as the Dukedom’s weakness. But now, the little boy had become bold.

“I can’t always be a kid.”

All the knights exchanged glances and were pleased with their young master.

They finally found hope in their young master. But there is a fact that they do not know.

If Lise hadn’t asked for an intelligent and mature friend, he would never have forced himself to visit the knights.

It was a fact that no one knew. Lise only told Jenny about her unreasonable wish so that Jenny would stop asking meaningless questions.

From that day on, Erhan would train with Zikel in swordsmanship.

He began to learn how to properly wield a sword, which was the first lesson.

He remembered Lise’s smiling face, but the girl had already forgotten about the young master because she was too immersed and enjoying her shopping time.
