Kaizen is almost as worse as Soviechu from Remarried Princess. It doesn’t seem that our FL will have another romantic interest besides that garbage emperor, which is a shame. At this point, my happy ending would be her turning him down until the end and being a happy single woman that bakes and lives happily in the countryside with her kid.

No. kaizen is not having an affair, different from soviesh, indeed some of ml’s insolent actions on FL were due to FL’s father being greedy and ml thought FL would be on the equipment to kill him

Leeloo is right. They are the same. They use their power to get what they want and don’t care how it hurts others. Their past doesn’t matter to their victims. The pain the victims feel is the same. Kaizen wants what he wants and she pays the price. His kindness is always wrapped in his coercion. He’s kidnapped her, and then he’s nice to her only in the context of his imprisonment of her.
