I Became My Son's First Love - Chapter 39
āAh, mmm!ā
The sensation was so intense that it felt like his cock was reaching all the way to her throat. Instinctively, Eve wrapped her legs around his waist, locking him in place.
ā…Ugh.ā
With a low moan, Azazel released inside her once more, his body trembling as he continued to thrust gently. Saliva dripped from Eveās slightly parted lips as she let out a small whimper. As Azazel slowly stirred inside her, he licked the corners of her mouth.
āMmm.ā
Just as he was about to kiss her again, Eve, who had sensed his cock swelling inside her once more, started to squirm. Azazel chuckled softly, kissing her lips as he pulled back his hips.
āIāll give you some adviceāif you move like that, youāll only stimulate me more.ā
Though he said that, Eve could feel the relief as his thick shaft slowly slid out of her.
As she caught her breath, Azazel grinned and asked, āSo, did I pass?ā
Eve knew that if she said he failed, they would just start all over again. She let out a small, exhausted laugh.
ā…Yes, you passed.ā
āIāll try even harder next time.ā
If he tried any harder, she really might die of exhaustion. Seeing the worn-out expression on her face, Azazel pulled her into his arms.
āHow was your sonās cock, Mother?ā
āJust shut up.ā
At Eveās tired response, Azazel chuckled softly, whispering in her ear with a hint of laughter in his voice.
āIāll clean up the mess, so go to sleep.ā
His gentle hand stroked her hair as his other hand lightly patted her back. As if by magic, a wave of drowsiness washed over her. Feeling her eyelids grow heavy, Eve murmured in a faint voice.
ā…I feel like Iām going to die.ā
Azazelās body shook with laughter. āThank you for the compliment.ā
Eve wanted to scoff at him, but she no longer had the energy to even move her lips. With a satisfied sigh, she snuggled deeper into his broad chest.
ā…Finally, weāre together, Eve.ā
She thought she heard him say something, but before she could make sense of it, she fell into a deep, exhausted sleep.
Chapter 4: Unsettling
How much time had passed after arriving at the villa with Eve? Dane furrowed his brow while examining the paintings hung in the hallway. It was fine that he had come to the Seratine villa following Eve, but at some point, Dane glanced at Eve and his son, who had remained at a distance. Noticing that Dane was distracted from the artwork, Aeshath called out to him.
“Dane.”
Reluctantly, Dane turned to face Aeshath. “What is it?”
Aeshath glanced in the direction Dane had been looking and then looked away. “If itās uncomfortable for you, would you prefer to head back first?”
“Whatās there for me to feel uncomfortable about?”
Dane smiled, thinking hard beneath the surface. What could Aeshath possibly know?
“You must be worried about my grandfather. Perhaps I called you here without much consideration.”
“Well, just like always, I suppose Iāll endure a few intense stares.”
“Iām always sorry.”
Aeshath sighed deeply, apologizing. Dane acted nonchalant, telling her not to worry, yet internally he was pondering: Was she genuinely concerned, or was she using that as an excuse to send him away?
“Wouldnāt it be more uncomfortable if I came?”
“Not at all. In any case, Eve is likely more comfortable with you than with me, so Iām glad you came. Judging by how you still meet even after the divorce, it seems things ended on good terms.”
Her purple eyes were clear, devoid of any ill intent. “Youāre quite perceptive when it comes to understanding young peopleās emotions, despite your age.”
One word felt slightly off.
“Young people?”
Aeshath, sensing Daneās thoughts, lightly tapped his arm. “The age difference isnāt that great, donāt be so upset.”
“…True enough.”
Aeshath, in a friendly gesture, patted his back and pointed toward Rose. “Come on, our genius painter is waiting for your evaluation, so letās end this conversation.”
“Alright.”
But the more Dane scrutinized the paintings, the more concerned he became about this supposed genius painterās style. The densely detailed and intense artwork was disconcerting, disturbing even. Trying to shake off the dark sensation that seemed to engulf him, Dane once again spoke to Aeshath.
“Howās His Majesty doing these days?”
“Still as robust as ever.”
Not the best news. How could that old man, past eighty, still be so healthy? Dane clicked his tongue slightly in his mind before asking again.
“After todayās events, heāll likely pay more attention to me, wonāt he?”
“Most likely…”
Daneās question seemed to express concern about the emperor hounding him over marriage again. It wasnāt entirely off the mark. Aeshath, showing another hint of apology, looked at Dane.
“Honestly, I still donāt understand why you came.”
“Keep saying things like that, and itāll sound like you want to drive me away.”
Dane, growing slightly sharp, retorted, despite Aeshath herself bringing up the topic of the emperor.
“I invited you, why would I drive you away?”
Aeshathās answer was as carefree as ever. Dane, after a moment of contemplation, decided to test his thoughts.
“Iām really fond of Eve.”
“Yeah, it seems that way.” Aeshath appeared genuinely clueless. “Iāll try to talk His Majesty down, perhaps buy you a yearās respite.”
“Thatād be appreciated.”
“After all, itās because of me, so Iām sorry.”
To clear the last of his doubts, Dane asked more directly, “Why did you recommend Eve to me?”
“Hmm?”
“Why did you suggest Eve as my wife?”
It was Aeshath who had recommended Eve to Dane. But why her, and how?
After blinking a few times, Aeshath answered somewhat dryly, “I thought, to maintain your marriage for a long time, it would be better if your partner leaned on you a bit. Someone who wasnāt a capital noble, someone for whom even divorce wouldnāt improve their situation. I shortlisted people who fit that description, and among them, you chose Eve.”
“…Yes, in the end, I did choose her.”
Aeshath playfully asked to lighten the mood, “Were the others not to your liking?”
“I hardly remember them.”
Suddenly, another question arose, not for himself but for Eve.
“But why, despite knowing rumors would spread, did you approach Eve? Was it guilt over recommending her a poor match?”
Aeshath chuckled at the rather blunt self-assessment. “Not at all. I just genuinely like Eve. Sheās a person I want to get closer to.”
“Is that why youāre sponsoring this artist?”
Aeshath winked mischievously. “Is it so wrong to use what I have? Besides, the artwork is quite unique.”
Dane frowned. “This is beyond unique…”
Seeing Daneās disapproval, Aeshath raised a finger to her lips, shushing him.
“Shh.”
When Dane nodded in understanding, Aeshath called Rose back. While listening half-heartedly to Roseās explanation, Dane glanced at Eve and Azazel. They were now heading into a separate section of the hallway, disappearing completely behind a purple curtain. Dane made a mental note of this and, when passing by later, mentioned wanting to take a look behind the curtain.
Unfortunately, Aeshath opposed the idea, preventing him from doing so. However, Azazelās absence from the dinner allowed Dane to dine comfortably. Still, it was worrisome that Eve seemed distracted at times.
After the meal, Dane escorted Eve to score some points with her while familiarizing himself with the layout of the villa. His initial purpose in coming to this villa with Eve was to figure out if Azazel or Aeshath had influenced his marriage.
The villaās complex structure provided a good excuse for pretending to be lost while surveying the place. In the process, seeing Eveās bright smile was an unexpected reward. Her refreshing laughter was infectious, uplifting Daneās mood.
Returning to his room after parting ways with Eve, Dane reminisced about her cheerful laughter, which he had seemingly witnessed for the first time. He bided his time until long past midnight before making his move.
Dane walked quietly down the corridor, heading straight for where he assumed the office would be. Despite this being a villa, given Azazelās statement about being too busy to attend, Dane hoped he might find some valuable information.
While the building’s layout was indeed complex, the basic structure wasnāt too different from other mansions, making the office easy to locate.
After ensuring there was no one around, Dane entered the office, drawing the curtains to prevent any light from escaping. He lit a candle, though it wasnāt enough to fully illuminate the room. However, given the circumstances, he couldnāt afford to light more candles. He needed to search quickly before anyone arrived.
Azazel had indeed been working, as several folders were scattered across the desk. However, nothing unusual stood out among the documents.
‘Is it because this is the villa? Should I somehow make my way to the main mansion?’
