I Thought It Was a Common Transmigration - Chapter 83
“I just want to talk to my daughter about that, too. It’s been a while since I’ve seen her, and I’d like to know how she’s doing……”
“That makes me even more suspicious, it’s almost like you two made a pact with each other to share information about our family?”
“W- what’s that supposed to mean? Haha!”
Count Riegelhoff let out an awkward chuckle, but Killian didn’t relax his expression in the slightest.
“You want to know how Edith is doing, but why do you need to talk to her alone? What on earth do you want to know?”
“Oh, that’s not what I meant……”
Count Riegelhoff fidgeted, unable to find the right words. Still, he seemed to keep ordering me to do something with his eyes.
Perhaps he meant for me to do something.
But if this really would make Killian suspicious of me again, I’d be in trouble, so I gave him a quick answer.
“I’m doing great, better than I ever have since I was born, so…… don’t worry too much.”
The whole time I was dealing with him, I never once called him “father.”
Because I can’t call that man my father anymore.
Count Riegelhoff’s face stiffened for a moment as if he realized I was determined to completely ignore his orders, but he quickly smiled and nodded.
“Well, I see. All right, Edith, then…… see you later.”
He gave Killian a very polite bow and walked away.
‘Bastard. He still thinks he can boss me around.’
I could see the contempt and anger in his eyes as he stared at me, and I read it clearly: “You ungrateful wench!”
But more than that, I realized I was shaking.
Edith’s old memories that came to me late were filled with abuse.
Physical and mental abuse from her childhood entwined with my own, even though I hadn’t been the one to inflict it.
My hands were clammy with sweat as I gripped Killian’s sleeve, and my throat was parched.
‘There’s no reason to be shaking now, you idiot!’
I was ashamed that I was trembling, clinging to Killian’s sleeve instead of standing tall in front of that man.
I’d been beaten up like that by Sophia and held my head up so brazenly, so why am I only now getting nervous……
“Edith…… are you okay?”
Killian called out to me.
“Kil- Killian……”
“Why are you so nervous?”
“No, it’s not that……”
No, actually, I know.
I’ve never been okay, not even now.
I’ve been gritting my teeth and enduring it, but I’ve never been okay.
“Let’s go get some air.”
Killian led me, unable to give a proper response, out to the outdoor balcony.
And his decision was brilliant.
The cool breeze hit my cheeks and I was able to pull myself together from my near-panic.
I took a long, deep breath before I could move my frozen mouth.
“You must be surprised, right? I’m sorry for being such an idiot.”
“I see you’re feeling better now. What the hell was that all about?”
“W- what?”
I couldn’t tell him what was going on.
The damn constraints were still in effect, and I couldn’t explain why I was struggling, or what that man, Count Riegelhoff, had done to Edith.
Killian stared down at me, then abruptly closed the door between the balcony and the hallway.
“If you were afraid of anyone hearing you, you can speak now.”
Sure enough, just by closing the door, we were left alone.
‘What should I do, what should I say? Why did I get so stiff earlier……!’
Now that I could no longer speak the truth of my fear at the sight of Count Riegelhoff, I was afraid of what strange misunderstanding I might receive if I hesitated to answer.
I blamed myself for not reacting quickly enough, but I couldn’t undo what had happened.
Looking for an excuse, I thought about the situation from earlier and suddenly remembered the dance with Killian.
Then I came up with an excuse, albeit a bit of a stretch.
“Ahem, promise me you’ll listen and not scorn me.”
Killian’s brow furrowed further.
He must be wondering what the hell I’m going to say.
Truth be told, I’m a little nervous I’m about to self-destruct.
“As much as I can…… I’ll try.”
Okay, well, that isn’t really important, so let’s compromise and be brave.
I took a deep breath and started babbling.
“Actually…… I was just panicking.”
“It’s your father, why did you panic?”
“Because……”
“Edith. Be honest.”
“The truth is, I was…… a little…… excited when I was dancing with you, so……”
For a moment, there was silence between us.
“What’s that……”
“Well, I just panicked because I thought I wanted to kiss you at one point, and I was like, you know…… I felt like my father had caught me doing something bad.”
“Ha……!”
Yeah, that’s ridiculous.
It’s ridiculous even for me to say this.
“That’s why?”
“I thought you might be feeling some of it, didn’t you?”
I blushed and stroked my burning neck, and Killian saw it and turned away.
‘You’re leaving me here because you feel gross?’
He doesn’t like it when I become clingy to him, so it’s understandable.
But then he pulled his self-defense dagger from his hip and slid it between the two handles of the balcony door. As if he were locking it with a bolt.
“Killian……?”
I called out to him in a daze, unsure of the reason for his behavior, and Killian stepped menacingly toward me.
“I warned you so many times to stop your lustful behavior…….”
He cupped my cheeks and pressed his lips to mine.
His hot breath hit my cheek, which was cooling in the cold air.
“Mmh!”
My eyes widened in panic as he grabbed my chin and forced my mouth open.
And as soon as my lips parted, his champagne-scented tongue swooped in, tangling with mine and sucking it in.
“Hngh!”
I stepped back, feeling dizzy from the wild, mind-sucking kiss, and quickly found myself trapped between him and the balcony’s pillar.
Then, as if he’d been waiting, he pulled me into a stronger embrace and ran his hands seductively over my shoulders and back.
“Mmh……”
My breath caught in my throat as he kissed me, and I couldn’t help but let out a muffled moan.
As I began to wriggle from the stimulation he was providing, Killian pulled his lips away.
“Hah, hah, Kil- Killian, this is an imperial palace!”
“And you got horny in that imperial palace. Thanks to you, I got caught up in it.”
Killian stroked my body as if he wanted to eat me right now, stimulating me.
‘Why is my body so weak to stimulation?!’
I thought to myself, but my body was warming up to Killian’s touch.
Killian pressed his lips to the nape of my neck and whispered, “How aroused are you?”
I don’t know how to respond to that.
“I- it’s not like that.”
“That’s not what you said earlier.”
“Earlier, it was just, a little……”
“Well, your mouth often lies, so I’ll have to ask your honest body.”
Killian sucked and nibbled on my earlobe as if to tease me, then kissed the side of my neck.
Then, out of nowhere, he licked the nape of my neck.
“Ahh!”
That little bit of stimulation had me wanting more.
‘Why is my body so easily aroused?! Why?’
I couldn’t think of anything to stop him.
Even if the balcony door was locked, someone passing by out there could have seen us.
‘More…… more……’
And as if reading my thoughts, Killian went on to stimulate me.
My legs were shaking, a chill ran down my spine, and I couldn’t think of anything.
All I could do was gasp for air and cling to Killian’s forearms.
“You’re so horny, you’re so…….”
“Hngh…… mmh……”
“Are you begging me to do something more?”
“Oh, no…… it’s……”
“If you could see the look on your face, you wouldn’t say that.”
Killian kissed me again.
But it wasn’t a rough kiss like before, just a slow, light one that teased me.
Thankfully, the light caresses allowed me to slow my breathing and calm my arousal.
Suddenly, I was worried about Killian.
‘He must be pretty excited. Can he get out of here like that? How can I calm him down?’
While I was looking around and trying to figure out what to do, Killian was smoothing out my dress.
“Kil- Killian……”
“I know you want it, but it’s a little dangerous here, so I’ll do whatever you want…… when we get home.”
It’s a nice offer, and one I’ll gratefully accept, but that’s not what I’m worried about right now.
“Are you…… okay?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean…… that…….”
I stuttered, embarrassed to say it.
“I’m just wondering if it’s okay if you go out like this……”
Killian, who had been looking at me, suddenly burst out laughing.
He muffled the sound for fear of being overheard, but his amusement was palpable.
“Are you worried about my difficult situation?”
“I- if you don’t deal with it…… it won’t go down.”
At that, Killian laughed again. It was a boyish laugh, so it was nice to hear, but I was still worried about his lower half, which would be embarrassing to see.
