I'm Stuck on a Remote Island With the Male Leads - Chapter 131
Enoch slowly reached out his hand to me.
“Come here.”
I approached him quietly. Then he took my hand, sat me on his lap, and kissed my cheek.
I touched my cheek with a bewildered face.
Am I really going crazy? It’s amazing how he did it naturally. I don’t feel too bad either.
His strong arms wrapped around my waist. He, who was emitting a ferocious feeling like a possessive beast, grabbed my hand gently.
As he left a kiss on each of my fingers, he looked at my bomber jacket with a puzzled look.
“Where did you get these clothes from?”
He looked at the bomber jacket as if he was looking at something bizarre. It was clear that it would look like very crude and ugly clothes to the imperial people. I pointed to the hanger in the corner of the room with my bomber drawn forward.
“It was over there. I think it was all brought by Jenny, no, I mean Jenas.”
“……Jenny? Do you call him by that nickname?”
Enoch’s brows furrowed with a look of disapproval. His eyes stared at me hot as burning firewood.
As I shrank in embarrassment, he sighed and stroked my hair affectionately.
I looked up and answered, “I did. At first, I didn’t know he was like that.”
I was getting more and more embarrassed from sitting on his thighs, so I tried to sneak up, but he pulled me back down.
“How are you feeling?”
At his question, I scratched my cheek and pointed to my seat.
“I don’t think I’ll get any better if I stay in this position.”
Then he quietly let me go.
“Ha. Noisy.”
By the time I got out of Enoch’s arms, Kayden had woken up. He raised his head with his eyes wide open. His hair was messy, but it suited him, maybe because of his handsome looks.
When our eyes met, he hurriedly got up from the bed. He came to me in one step and hugged me.
I glanced at Enoch. He was sitting on the bed, stroking his chin and staring at Kayden insinuatingly.
“Are you okay?”
Kayden, who released me from his embrace, carefully examined my complexion. Unlike last night when he acted recklessly as if he was going to swallow me up, he is cautious.
“Um… by the way, Margaret, your clothes seem to be getting shorter?”
Looks like he saw a cropped tee I’m wearing. Kyden narrowed his brows and opened the front of my bomber jacket.
“Are you not embarrassed, Margaret?”
“Then are you not embarrassed to be topless?”
“I’m okay. I can show you more. Do you want to take a look?”
What do you mean? Crazy!
“I’m not curious, so stay where you are.”
When Kayden showed no heed to my words, Enoch immediately stood up.
“Lord.”
Only one word came out, but the atmosphere immediately became silent. Kayden clicked his tongue and quietly backed away.
Seeing that these two men were topless, I pointed at the hanger in the corner of the room
“There are clothes to wear there. Before we can have a proper conversation, you’d better get dressed.”
I looked at Enoch’s white shirt lying on the floor. I have to throw away that ragged piece of shirt now.
I walked ahead of them to the hanger and chose their clothes.
Enoch, standing behind me, stretched out his hands and rummaged through the hanger with me. Suddenly being in his arms, I finally found clothes that fit him.
“I think this will suit you,” I said.
I took out a black short-sleeved shirt and gave it to Enoch. Then, my eyes drifted to his massive muscles.
Naturally, the events of last night flowed through my head. I feel like I want to die.
Enoch quietly took the clothes from me, not knowing what I was thinking. Then he put it on and changed his pants.
“It’s my first time trying on clothes like this.”
I looked at the clothes Enoch was wearing and was amazed. This is a shirt that fits his body perfectly as it shows off his toned muscles.
“Choose for me, too.”
Kayden, who came closer, said so as he examined the messy clothes hanging on the hanger.
Fortunately, there are clothes and pants that Kayden could pull off, but he insisted on wearing a wizard robe over them.
When I asked why, he smiled and said, “What if you get cold at night? I’ll keep you warm.”
His cunning answer left me speechless.
“Okay, get dressed quickly and let’s have a talk.”
I handed Kayden the clothes I picked out and sat down on the bed.
Enoch, neatly dressed, approached me. Then he stroked my hair with a gentle touch as if holding a precious glass doll.
I felt something strangely very tickling.
I grabbed Enoch by the wrist.
Then I slowly raised my head and met Enoch’s golden eyes, who were staring at me.
It was as if time had stopped.
“We have a lot to say to each other,” said Enoch, looking down at his wrist held by me.
He’s right. We have to talk about what happened.
I’m also curious about what happened to Ruzef and Diego.
Then Kayden suddenly started changing clothes. I opened my eyes wide in surprise. But my vision darkened instantly because Enoch covered my eyes with his palm.
“You are so reckless, Lord. Don’t you know Margaret is watching?”
“I told her to take a look. Have you forgotten?”
Kayden answered boldly as if not taking Enoch’s words seriously. Enoch is so considerate, so he changed his clothes behind the rack. But Kayden just acts like Kayden always does, so I laughed after a long time.
Having a conversation like this feels like going back to the beginning of when the three of us lived together on the South Island.
However, my face hardened as I suddenly remembered what the situation was like when I parted ways with Enoch and Kayden.
‘They tried to seal my mana. And they said they would kill me.’
I thought I must have misunderstood because I got poisoned by anaconda gas.
But what if it wasn’t a mere misunderstanding? What should I do then?
“What are you thinking?”
Enoch’s voice rang above my head. As soon as he lowered his hand that was covering my eyes, I raised my head and looked at him.
Enoch is quick-witted, so he must have noticed that I was thinking negative thoughts. I stared at him in silence.
Then I opened my mouth. “If you’re going to kill me, what’s the reason? I was thinking about that.”
“……what?”
Enoch’s brows gradually furrowed. Kayden, who had changed all his clothes and come to me, had a very shocked face.
He asked with a puzzled face, “Wait, Margaret! What are you talking about?! Who kills whom? Us? You?”
I nodded slowly.
Enoch looked down at me with a stunned face. Is it just my imagination that he looks disappointed?
“You thought so? That’s why you ran away?”
At Enoch’s questions, I kept my mouth shut. I felt like I was about to burst into tears again.
“What nonsense is that?”
Kayden, who came running in one step, knelt down in front of me and looked up at me.
“We can’t possibly do that.”
“Huh, I know.”
At my answer, Kayden let out a sigh of relief.
I continued, “So I decided to ask and judge for myself. Were the words I heard true? Were you really trying to seal my mana?”
“What? Margaret, that……!”
Enoch interrupted Kayden who had trouble answering. “I will tell you. Margaret, you have misunderstood.”
He explained calmly about the conversation I misunderstood that night.
“We thought you’d be the key to getting off this island since you’re the only one with mana. The reason we planned to seal your mana was to test whether or not that’s what’s been luring monsters.”
“Then you said you’d kill me……”
“Never. What you may have heard was that we would lure a monster close and check if the test was successful, then we kill it.”
This time the answer came from Kayden.
Ah……
Only then did I understand the situation. Along with a sense of relief, a feeling of sorry for doubting their trust swept through me like a wave.
I buried my face in my palms. I am ashamed. I couldn’t raise my face before them.
I slowly lowered my hand and stared at my toes.
“Sorry…… At that time I returned to the cave. I waited for half a day, but no one came…… I encountered a monster and ran away……”
Feeling embarrassed, I spoke gibberish, unlike me. I put my hands together on my knees, but the shaking wouldn’t go away.
Then, Kayden, who was kneeling in front of me and looking up at me, held my hand. He looked me in the eye, kissing each of my fingers obsessively.
“That’s all right. Wherever you run, we’ll find you no matter what.”
Kayden smiled as he said that. His dimple made his smile even more charming.
Enoch nodded his head in agreement with Kayden’s words.
“Sorry for scaring you. How scared you must have been by yourself……” Enoch blamed himself.
According to him, the reason they didn’t return to the cave right away was that they found a piece of cloth that I had dropped while they were looking for me. Then they met Jenas.
“I needed a place to hide. While I was looking for a place to take shelter, I happened to come across an underground hallway in this bunker.”
“Hallway? Oh, is that the way that damn wizard disappeared to?”
“Well, I guess so.” I nodded at Kayden’s question.
I was about to tell them that I fell down another hallway in the middle and ran into skeletons, about Romalizan’s battle uniform, and what happened in the bunker. But just in time,
-thud!
There was the sound of something hitting outside the door. Startled, I looked back at the tightly closed door.
“What, what……?”
When I got my crossbody bag, I hurriedly took out my flare gun. Likewise, Enoch and Kayden drew their sword and dagger, respectively, and took a guarded stance.
“Is that a monster?” I asked Enoch and Kayden, wary of the closed door.
I asked again, “Did you leave the bunker door open?”
Kayden frowned with a troubled face.
“The door we came from was closed. It doesn’t have a keyhole, so I guess it can be opened if you want to. But, are monsters smart enough to open closed doors?”
Kayden asked me back, and I shrugged, not knowing the answer. Meanwhile, Enoch stood behind the door, listening, then turned to us.
He said, “I’m going out first, you two stay here.”
Kayden and I nodded at the same time. After taking a deep breath, Enoch quickly opened the door and pointed his sword forward.
“Ahhh!”
And there came a familiar scream.
The one falling in front of the door with a pale face was none other than Ruzef.
“Are you all here?!”
Ruzef shouted with a face as if he was going to shed tears at any moment.
