I'm Stuck on a Remote Island With the Male Leads - Chapter 195
Of course, my father was not about to let the Pope escape after luring the monsters like that.
In the distance, several Imperial soldiers and wizards who had been guarding the castle and keeping the monsters at bay came running toward us.
“Father, Saintess! I’ll take care of the monsters
My father looked at me in disbelief.
In the past, I would not have been so trustworthy in this situation. But he looked at me with a very complicated face and finally nodded his head in agreement.
Yuanna winked at me with no loss of time, and then quickly ran after the fleeing Pope.
-pow! -boom!
I tried my best to ignore the pain shooting from my ankle. I fired off as many flares as I could, covering my father and Yuanna.
Suddenly, it occurred to me that the flare bullets I was using were made by Jenas by converting mana into bullets.
Couldn’t I use the mana itself as a bullet?
I had a lot of mana and a ring that could release and control it.
The reason I hadn’t fired the flares directly at the Pope before now was that I had no intention of killing him once and for all. He should be punished for all his sins.
But if I make a bullet out of mana itself, I could maim him without killing him. Mana is a realm of power I could control.
I looked back at the Pope. The Pope was struggling against Yuanna and my father.
Still, he wasn’t going down easily, and he ended up using the magic stones to summon more monsters. Eventually, while Yuanna and my father were distracted, I opened the flare gun’s magazine, dumped all the bullets on the ground, and channeled my mana into the ring on my right hand.
Aiming the flare at the back of the fleeing Pope’s head, I took a deep breath, then focused my mana into the muzzle of the flare gun.
Slowly, a glow emerged from the ring, swirling around the ring, and then being sucked into the flare gun.
After a few seconds, I could feel that a great deal of mana had been condensed into the flare. I pointed it at the fleeing Pope and pulled the trigger.
Please, make it hit.
-pshhhhhh!
A green bolt of mana shot out in a straight line, striking the Pope in the back before exploding into a huge swarm of light.
-pow!
“Ugh!”
The Pope’s distant scream reached my ears. As the dust from the blast slowly settled, I could see the Pope slumped to his knees.
He was coughing up blood, obviously suffering from internal injuries.
‘It worked.’
No way. I must be the kind of person who should be scouted by the Knights Order. No, not the Knights Order, but the Magic Tower.
In the meantime, my father and Yuanna ran straight to the Pope, who was overpowered by my father and thrown to the ground. Yuanna retrieved the magic stone from the Pope’s hand.
I was picking up the bullets I had thrown on the ground when I saw a bluish light shoot up into the sky. Then a huge, transparent shield began to form in the sky.
It was the same magic that the wizards of Magic Tower had cast. It looked like they were creating a barrier again.
I turned back to Eunji, whom I had hidden nearby.
She was writhing in pain, as if she had been drained of energy. It looked like she was still feeling the effects of the divine power attack.
“Eunji, are you okay?”
I examined her, but with no visible wounds, I couldn’t tell what was wrong.
“Saintess, please help Eunji……!”
Yuanna rushed over and checked on Eunji. Behind her, my father came into view, covered in blood.
“Ah, Father! Are you okay?”
This time, I rushed to him and helped him up. After healing the visible injuries on my father’s body, Yuanna immediately examined Eunji’s wounds.
“I think it’s because she’s a monster, so she’s not immune to divine power. Time is the only way to heal her. She’ll be fine.”
I was glad to hear that she would be okay, but I couldn’t help but worry. Eunji was hurt because I wasn’t good enough. Because I’m not a good enough owner.
I was heartbroken that there was nothing I could do for her.
“Are you hurt, Margaret? What happened to your arm?”
Yuanna looked surprised to see me with a cloth wrapped around my shoulder, holding my arm in place. My father, finally realizing my condition, gasped.
“Oh my God, let me see.”
Thanks to Yuanna, my broken arm and sprained ankle healed easily. I’d heard she was a saint who hadn’t appeared in a hundred years, but after all the divine power she’d expended fighting the Pope, she must be pretty amazing to be able to heal others so easily.
Carrying Eunji and the Pope, we made our way back to where Enoch was battling.
Enoch had single-handedly defeated all those paladins, and now he was dealing with monsters, all by himself.
He looked at my father, covered in blood, and at me, limping, and his face was one of disbelief.
“Margaret!”
“Are you okay? Let’s get things in order and then we can talk. We need to find Kayden.”
Even without using tracking magic on Jenas, we all knew where he’d gone.
Alea Island.
“We’d better send a letter to Diego, telling him never to go to Alea Island first.”
Enoch looked at me as if asking what I meant.
“I think there’s an automatic explosive device on Alea Island, and now that Jenas is heading there, Diego and the scouts are in danger.”
Enoch went straight back to the ballroom and relayed the news to Diego over the video sphere.

Arthdal took full command of the knights to capture the Peony Blossoms as planned with Enoch and Margaret.
He was able to identify the flow of mana that occurred when the Peony Blossoms used their magic stones. He had a magic eye, albeit a half one. He had used the same power to find and kill his distant nephew in the Kingdom of Hestia.
From his perch on a high window sill, he scanned the ballroom and gave the knights orders.
They captured many members of the Peony Blossom faction, but there was a problem. Traces of magic stones were found, but they didn’t have any.
They all denied their guilt and laid the blame on one man: Archbishop Rinnehaon.
“I’ll find him,” Ruzef said as he and Arthdal captured the Peony Blossoms.
Arthdal remembered that Rinnehaon and Ruzef were not on good terms. He put his arm around Ruzef’s shoulders, looking very serious, and whispered, “Archbishop, you can’t kill him.”
“Do you think I’m like you, Your Highness?”
Ruzef bellowed, offended, and Arthdal put his hand on his chest in a perfectly virtuous gesture and gave him a hurt look.
“I’m hurt to hear you say that. I don’t kill people.”
“I don’t kill people either. What do you think a priest is……!”
“I see, I see. You’re like an angry cat.”
“Your Highness!”
“Anyway, go find him. Leave this one to me. I still haven’t found Count Pedersen and the Empress.”
Ruzef glared at Arthdal in annoyance, then sighed and walked away. Finding Rinnehaon was a priority.
***
Rinnehaon had stolen the magic stones from the Empress and Count Pedersen, and had also stolen the magic stones of the other Peony Blossoms. He took Margaret’s maid Vanessa as a hostage.
They’re probably blaming me for the theft, but as long as the end result is successful, I’ll be fine.
I have to collect all of these magic stones and head to Alea Island, where I will join Marquis Rohade and wait for Jenas. Only when I hand him all of the stolen magic stones will my purpose be fulfilled.
As Rinnehaon was about to use Vanessa to sneak out the back door, someone stood in his way: Ruzef.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
This bastard is always getting in my way.

Rosemary watched Ruzef disappear into the distance as he chatted with Arthdal.
Beside her, her fellow young ladies huddled in a corner of the ballroom, trembling with fear. They were safer here, protected by the knights, than outside the ballroom.
‘Count Pedersen and the Empress have not been found.’
Rosemary overheard Arthdal’s words and remembered that she had seen them earlier.
Apparently, she had seen the presumed Count and Empress take advantage of the chaos in the ballroom and disappear with Archbishop Rinnehaon toward the kitchen.
Rosemary hurried to the kitchen, where she found Count Pedersen and the Empress, as expected. The only problem was that they were lying in the kitchen entrance.
Rosemary tilted her head, unsure of why they were lying there. Furthermore, Archbishop Rinnehaon, who was with them, was nowhere to be seen.
She looked around, but there was no one she could call for help. She searched the pockets of Count Pedersen and the Empress, but found no magic stones.
Then, a long shadow fell across the marble floor. Someone was standing over Rosemary’s head. Rosemary looked up in surprise to see the Empress, now awake, reaching for her.
-puck!
“Ack.”
The dull noise was followed by a short scream from the Empress. Rosemary blinked, confused as to what was happening.
Her mother, Violet, stood before her, frying pan in hand. The Empress, who was about to attack Rosemary, was hit by Violet’s frying pan and seemed to be knocked unconscious.
Violet held up the frying pan from the kitchen and sighed with pride. Then she gave a thumbs-up to her daughter, Rosemary, who looked at her blankly.
“You have no idea how badly I wanted to hit this woman.”
She’s the one who clung to the Flonés all this time and sent Margaret off to the island for liking Enoch, damn woman.
Violet raised the frying pan and contemplated hitting the Empress on the head one more time.
“Mmm.”
Just in time, Count Pedersen opened his eyes and staggered to his feet.
-puck!
Violet’s frying pan struck him on the head, knocking Count Pedersen out cold.
Violet wiped the sweat from her brow with a satisfied smile.
‘My goodness, a frying pan can be used as a weapon. My mother is amazing!’
Rosemary clapped her hands with a twinkle in her eye.

The wizards of the Magic Tower and the Langridge Imperial Army that Enoch had prepared beforehand were finishing off the remaining monsters.
Among them, I could see many familiar knights, including Noel and Heisen, at the forefront.
We left them to finish the extermination outside, then returned to the ballroom with the captured Pope.
The inside of the ballroom was in chaos, but fortunately, we had managed to subdue some of what appeared to be the Peony Blossoms. Count Pedersen and the Empress are there, but Archbishop Rinnehaon is nowhere to be seen.
I don’t see Ruzef either.
“Young Lady Floné.”
Arthdal came running up to us, distraught at our condition.
“Young lady, are you all right? Oh, my God. Are you okay, Duke? What about you, Banhwang? You look like you’re struggling, too.”
Arthdal anxiously checked on us, followed by my mother, Innis, and Rosemary, who ran in, tears streaming down their faces.
All of the Peony Blossoms at the party were captured, except for Archbishop Rinnehaon. It was easy to identify him, as he had a peony blossom caught in a spider’s web tattooed on his body.
Unfortunately, only one of the captured Peony Blossoms had a magic stone beside the Pope’s own. The rest had all escaped with theirs.
“Where’s Lord?”
Arthdal asked, and I, Enoch, and Yuanna fell silent. Yuanna glanced over at me. I clamped my mouth shut and remained silent.
‘Kayden should be safe.’
Enoch stared at my face, and I looked back at him, puzzled. Enoch looked like he wanted to say something, but in the end, he didn’t say anything.
On my behalf, Yuanna told the others what had happened in the garden. They all fell silent, at a loss for words.
I looked at each of them in turn, giving them a brief explanation of what had happened with Jenas and the experimental journals, then said:
“We need to go to Alea Island.”
We eventually decided to go to Alea Island ourselves. Since we were running out of time, we decided to make specific plans as we headed to the southern waters of Langridge.
That was the end of my first birthday as Lee Jinju and Margaret.
And it wasn’t until after the dust settled that we realized that Ruzef and Vanessa had disappeared.
