I'm Stuck on a Remote Island With the Male Leads - Chapter 28

Kayden looked me in the eye and cut off the branches and made something. Moments later, he held out a bag made by tying a string and a large leaf.
‘Oh my gosh, a leaf bag? It’s so cute.’
After receiving the eco-friendly bag as a gift, I looked at Kayden blankly. It was surprising that such a cute bag was made with such big hands.
As I looked at the bag he made for me, I said, “Let’s go together.”
Although Enoch was displeased, Kayden was a huge help to us.
Kayden had excellent life skills, and Enoch was good at hunting and working, so the combination of members was very good.
We packed our bags and set out on a journey to move…… It seems like a great adventure, but, as always, the reality was not so beautiful.
It was better to find something like the cave we used to live in around the river than to burn calories while building a hut.
But, of course, it was not easy to find a place that met the conditions.
On the way, I glanced over the cliffs I saw a few days ago. I haven’t given up on finding a bunker that might be on a cliff somewhere.
After getting out of the cave we were staying in, we found a large river—as Kayden said, around sunset.
The calmly flowing river seemed perfect for fish to live in. The water is also good for drinking water or bathing.
There was a flat gravel field in front of the river, and there was a slope after passing the gravel field.
The place I was standing was surrounded by trees, so it was protected from animals, and there was a reasonable distance from the river, so it was good for evacuation when it rained a lot and the river overflowed.
“I’d love to build a twig hut here.”
I don’t know when I’ll leave this place to build a proper hut in earnest.
Therefore, it seemed most appropriate to make an evacuation hut using tree twigs for now.
“But Margaret, how do you make a twig hut……?”
When asked to build a twig hut, Kayden asked with a puzzled face.
Enoch also looked at me with a face waiting for an answer.
‘Oh yeah. You may not know this.’
I squatted down and, with my index finger, drew a hut on the ground.
“First, you need two short wooden poles and one long wooden pole. I think a strong, thick wood would be good.”
At my explanation, Enoch and Kayden nodded their heads as they listened.
“At the entrance of the hut, put two short wooden poles together to form a triangle, and put a long wooden pole that will serve as the frame of the roof on top of it like this, and the foundation work is finished. This tripod is the support of the hut.”
I hardily drew the hut on the ground with my finger.
Enoch and Kayden opened their eyes wide like scholars burning with a passion for learning and listened to my lectures.
“Put up support like ribs on each side of the long wooden pole that acts as a roof. Then put twigs on the finished roof and cover it with fallen leaves. Do you understand?”
“Isn’t it difficult?”
“It’s easy!”
At my words, Enoch and Kayden nodded almost at the same time. I smiled at them and added one thing.
“I think it would be better to build it a little higher from the ground. We have to watch out for ants and scorpions.”
“Well, then we can make it like the temporary shelter we built on the beach. A floor made of pebbles, branches, moss, and fallen leaves.”
At Enoch’s words, I nodded vigorously.
“That would be good.”
I roughly put the bag that Kayden had made on the ground and looked around.
“I think we need a sharper weapon to cut down the wood.”
At Enoch’s murmur, I approached a cliff full of rocks and found a big stone.
“What? What are you going to do?” Just tell me and I’ll do it for you, Margaret. Don’t do things like this.”
I ignored Kayden’s words and slammed the big stone against the others.
After repeating this three or four times, I picked thin and sharp ones from among the broken stones and handed them to Enoch.
“I’ll make a few more. I think I can make an ax out of some stones.”
Two men looked at me with strange faces. Kayden asked me with a serious face,
“Be honest. You can really say it now. You are not Margaret, are you? How on earth does the young lady of the duke family know about this?”
Of course, I did not answer him and went into the bushes to find a wooden pole.
Enoch was making a blade by rubbing the sharp stone I made on the rock.
Kayden followed me and kept asking questions.
“Does the Duke of Floné provide education like this? Margaret, what do you not know?”
Kayden asked me with a really curious face. It is said that wizards are crazy about exploration. Looking at Kayden, it doesn’t seem wrong.
I saw a long wooden pole broken and said to Kayden, “I think it would be good to use it as a pole for the hut. Help me.”
Then he smiled and pushed me slightly.
“I’ll do it!”
Kayden squatted down, lifted the wooden pole on his left shoulder, and stood up. Are wizards really that good at using their power?
Since the three of us were working, the work was completed faster than expected.
Although the temporary hut was built in a very simple way, Enoch and Kayden were indeed very quick
By the time the hut was built, the sun was setting and we were forced to enter the hut and eat acai berries inside.
It was built quite large and seemed to accommodate up to four adults, but it was still cramped, so it seemed that it could only be used when sleeping.
I must find the cabin in the original novel. I don’t think there’s a place as spacious and comfortable as that place.
Kayden lay down and said, “It’s better than I thought.”
I was tired and also lay down. I felt somewhat uncomfortable lying down with two big men.
‘If I have time, should I make a separate hut for my own use?’
Kayden turned around and came close to me. I was about to turn my head around to see what was going on, but he suddenly hugged me from behind.
My back was pressed against Kayden’s chest. He slowly lowered his head, buried his face in my shoulder, and let out a hot breath.
“What the hell?”
I froze for a moment. I could feel Kayden’s soft lips on my bare shoulder.
“Just a moment. Stay like this.”
“……are you crazy?”
Kayden smiled softly as he placed his lips on my shoulder. I could feel the touch of his lips and warm breath.
I narrowed my brow, and gently reached out to push him away, but Enoch was faster than me. He stepped on Kayden’s side with his foot and pushed him away.
Kayden frowned and looked at him.
Enoch slipped between me and Kayden without a word and lay down. Then Kayden stood up and protested what he had done to him.
I quietly watched the annoying nerve war between the two men and said,
“……should I go out to sleep?”
Then Enoch and Kayden sat up at the same time.
“I’m sorry, I’ll be quiet.”
“I won’t do anything, so stay here.”
It was Kayden who spoke earlier, and Enoch who spoke next.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Kayden, but why is Enoch getting so childish?
I looked at the two men with a puzzled expression, then went to the corner to sleep.
9. Fire in the Hole
Early in the morning, I was sitting by the river and staring blankly at the sky.
Kayden, who came out from the temporary hut, spotted me and asked,
“Margaret, do you have anything to order?”
I looked up at him, not understanding his question for a moment.
“What do you mean?”
“I want to move my body a bit. If you don’t have anything to order me, I’ll go hunting for monsters.”
Kayden didn’t even know why he wanted to move his body.
Well, until then, the earring took care of controlling the flow of mana in his body, so there would have been no need for him to use his body.
He has found that physical labor is very effective in regulating the flow of mana.
Resting my chin on the back of my hand, I looked up at the face of him standing in front of me, then said,
“Hunting monsters is dangerous for you and for us. Don’t do that……”
I blurred the end of my words for a moment.
“How about hunting wild animals?”
